Planting Tips

Container planting

As section sizes continue to shrink and outdoor living spaces become more integrated with the home, container gardening has grown in popularity. It offers flexibility, versatility, and the ability to create impact in smaller areas. A wide variety of styles can be achieved using different pots and planters, which can easily be repositioned to refresh or completely transform a space.

Many New Zealand native plants are well suited to container growing, both outdoors and indoors. Larger pots and tubs work beautifully on patios, terraces, and decks, or as feature plantings in gardens and entranceways.
