Sponsorship directly supports our nursery production, enabling us to collect eco-sourced seed, propagate and grow more native plants, invest in our facilities and equipment, and increase the number of plants available for restoration projects throughout the region. Every investment helps us grow more plants, restore more landscapes, and create more opportunities for people in our community.

Our partnerships are equally important. By working alongside local government, iwi and hapū, conservation organisations, schools, businesses and community groups, we build lasting relationships that strengthen both environmental and social outcomes. Together, we can deliver restoration projects that would not be possible alone.

The native plants grown at Trees for Canterbury find homes in regional parks, reserves and protected landscapes across Canterbury. They help restore wetlands, drylands, forests and rocky outcrops throughout the Port Hills, Christchurch and beyond, rebuilding ecosystems that have been lost or degraded over time.

These restoration projects create vital habitat for native birds, lizards, butterflies, moths and countless other species that face increasing pressure within our urban environment. Every tree planted contributes to healthier waterways, greater biodiversity, increased climate resilience and a stronger connection between people and nature.
