The planting event at Southshore Reserve was a fantastic success with over 1000 native plants donated by Trees for Canterbury being put in the ground.  The day was beautiful and warm with lots of sun and no wind.  It felt like spring had sprung.

Some of the many volunteers

Thankyou to all the 70 plus volunteers, including a large group from the Church of God International, because without people taking time out of their day to help these areas would not get planted. Also a big thankyou to Park Ranger Jason Roberts and his team for all their hard work in preparing the site, and also feeding all the hungry volunteers.
