Orton Bradley Park

A very cold -5 degrees greeted a hardy bunch of people to the annual planting at Orton Bradley Park.  The site was in the shade and covered in frost when we started but thawed to a soggy paddock as the morning went on.

A volunteer digging through the frost. Luckily he had gumboots.

Over 50 people planted 850 plants in 1.5 hours which was a great effort.  Staff from Canon and parents and children who were celebrating one of the children’s 2nd birthday  along with a hardy bunch of Mountain-bikers all attended.  It was great to sit in the sun afterwards.  A job well done I say.
